Who we are and what we do:
Our trained crisis counselors respond to youth crisis situations by providing immediate services, intervention, and emergency shelter placement. We work to restore stability and deescalate crisis symptoms. Crisis services are offered to families for up to 6 weeks post crisis. Our program also includes after-care cervices to the youth and their families if needed after 6 weeks of crisis support.
Who We Can Help:
- Youth ages 6-17 years old and their caregivers/parents facing a crisis situation due to anger, anxiety, sadness, loss, conflict, etc.
- Youth beyond parental control, runways, curfew violators, or habitually truant youth.
- Youth with thoughts of self-harm or suicide.
- Youth on probation 602 facing a crisis. (non-violent offenders/misdemeanor)
- Non-violent 602 offenders not eligible to be admitted to Juvenile Hall.

Foothill Health Clinic Counseling Services:
A School Based Counseling Program that provided counseling services to students. Services are conducted by a licensed therapist or social worker who is sent from the Foothill community Health Center. The counselor will see the individual student during the school year on a weekly basis. Students can be recommended by teacher or parent.

Free Uniform Program
Our uniform program is brought to our school by the League of Women Voters of San Jose/Santa Clara
Every September and April this organization provides our students who are in need of uniform with two complete set of uniform for the year. Information will be sent out by teachers during these months in order for parents to request the support if needed.

Foster Grandparents Program
At Kennedy we are supported by the Foster Grandparent Program. Seniors in the community are given a chance to give back by supporting students and teachers within the classroom. This program has been on-going at Kennedy. If you are over 55 years old and interested in working with children then this may be a program you would enjoy.
