good morning and welcome back these are your announcements for the week of February 22nd to the 26th I want to go ahead and start by reminding you as we enter this last week in February that we are still celebrating Black History Month throughout this month your teachers have given you different experiences of what it means to celebrate and honor black history this is a month-long event but it's important that we continue to celebrate our diversity and what everybody brings to our nation throughout the entire year instead of just during one month however today in honor of Black History Month I want to share with you some information about Chadwick Boseman who you might better know from Black Panther Chadwick Aaron Boseman was born on November 29th 1976 in Anderson South Carolina his parents were Carolyn and Leroy Boseman his mother was a nurse and his father was a factory worker Bozeman played Little League baseball and basketball in his Youth and as early as high inspired to write please and become an actor he went on to attend Howard University in Washington DC and earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in directing in mm starring in several major motion films Bozeman became the first African-American superhero in a major feature film when he starred in the 2018 movie Black Panther highest grossing movie of all time to accomplish his dream through hard work and perseverance and make a difference in the movie industry now please stand for mornings like Philip ready salute I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all you may be seated thank you now hear our your announcements for the week let's start by seeing if you guessed our last Kennedy cougar correct you had to wait two weeks so let's see if you even remember you're at the clues in baby picture you were given I am the oldest of five I attended Eddie as a child and I love to spend time with my family if you guessed Miss on helica you guessed correct now here are your clothes and baby picture for this week and you only have to wait a week to find out I am a teacher at Kennedy I teach the alphabet letters everyday and my name starts with a sound let's see if you can guess correctly our next announcement is your reminder for meals for this week meals can be picked up in the parking lot in front of the office on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and those meals are free and available to anyone under the age of 18 however remember that starting March 2nd meals will be distributed on Tuesday and Friday but for this week it'll still be Monday Wednesday and Friday in the parking lot that's in front of the office the neck announcement is an announcement and invitation first grade you are all invited to join us for music at 12 your teachers will be sharing the zoom links with your family and your families will also get the zoo link from the office as an invitation to you all music on Wednesday for first grade will happen from 12 to 12:30 second and third grade here is your reminder that beginning this week you will share music time and so you will have music from 12:35 to 1:05 and you will have a new link and password for this week I know you've had the same one for a few weeks I'm going to change it this time and hope that we can all get it when we need to get it when we need to login in any case your teachers will post the new link for you so make sure but if you don't have it before you leave on Wednesday that you know exactly where you're going for music time first grade and looking forward to hearing you and seeing you and music 2nd and 3rd grade I look forward to seeing you at your joint time and finally for our birthdays this week we have Hazel's birthday Hazel is in Mr Lambs class and her birthday is tomorrow Tuesday February 23rd happy birthday Hazel I hope you enjoy it and that all your wishes come true and remember if you have a birthday coming up your parents can call the office let your teacher know or send me an email and I will be able to mention your name during our Monday morning announcements as well those are all of our announcements for the week remember to be safe respectful responsible and to all be kind thank you and have a
