good morning and welcome to your announcements for November 16th to the 20th before I begin our announcement I want to take a brief moment to update you you may have already heard Franklin McKinley School District Board of Education unanimously approved distance learning through June 15th this does not mean that you will not be returning to campus this year but it doesn't mean you won't be at school as I continue to say throughout our closure we are bigger than this and we are better than this one day we will look back and this will be a moment in history will not be what defines us it'll be what brings us closer together as much as I miss you and wish you were here I wish you health and safety above all you are important to us you matter to us through the rest of the school year you will continue to matter for us and we will continue to show up for you with that said please stand for this morning's flag salute ready salute I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America under God liberty and justice for all you may be seated thank you now here are our announcements for the week let's start by seeing if you guessed the correct Kenneth cougar remember here's a baby picture includes I gave you for last week I love to be outdoors gardening hiking Etc I run marathons and sarcasm is my second language which Kennedy cougar did you guess this was if you guessed that this was Mister wall you are absolutely correct now for this week here is the bay a picture and the clues to go with it I am the second oldest of nine I was born and raised in San Jose California I live in Hollister with my husband three kids and dog take a guess and see if you know which Kennedy cougar this is I look forward to hearing some of your gases and to the conversations you have with your teachers along with that ask your teacher if they sent me their baby picture and three Clues to be included in our Monday morning announcements now I want to remind you that this week is parent-teacher conference week this means that your parents should have signed up for a time to meet with your teacher if if they have not done so please make sure that they get that done now it is extremely important for them to meet with your teachers this how to find out how you're doing and to see what you need to do to continue to move through the school year I also want to let you know that your parents should have already heard the news tomorrow night Tuesday November 17th at 7 p.m. there is a parent Workshop called creating routines in English your parents should have received the zoom link right now and will receive it again on Tuesday night this Workshop will be held in English and I hope that your parents will be able to join us I also want to remind you that if you are in second or third grade I will visiting your classroom today or tomorrow to talk to you about music second grade music will run from 12 to 12:30 and 3rd grade music will run from 12:35 2105 and looking forward to seeing you join us for your music sessions and on Friday let's make it a college Gary Day show up in your favorite color a tire or decorate your background to reflect a college or university of your choice and as we head into next week I want you to keep in mind that we only have on Monday and Tuesday of next week next week is Thanksgiving so Wednesday Thursday and Friday you will have no Zoom classes and the office will be closed and something new that I want to start doing I want to start spotlighting a student this week I want a spotlight Adam you in from Miss Gomez's first grade class Miss Gomez with her students on the life cycle of a pumpkin and Adam went above and beyond by making this diagram great job Adam and keep up the amazing work we are all so proud of you and finally our birthdays for the week we've got one extremely special birthday that will be happening on November 21st let's take an opportunity to wish Sammy and and Miss Nunez is class a happy birthday Sammy we wish you a happy birthday and we hope that all your wishes come true that's all for our Monday morning announcements have a gray week and remember to be safe respectful responsible and to always be kind
